End of the second week

The women's team that was here all week is about to leave tonight. We had a wonderful week talking about the culture of the Indian people and how their religion is intertwined into everything within their culture and what they do on a daily basis. That filled the fist two days and we ended with two days of Pwalking/driving with a shopping day in the middle. After long trips in the car those three days the last one, yesterday, was the best. Full of excitement, near death experiences and lots of laughs we made it to dinner and then finally home.

The last trip home with the women's team can not go on without more explanation.
On our smooth trip of 4 hours in order to Pwalk and Pdrive an area that Global Connections is looking to go in everything was perfect except some sore butts, cramped legs ready to stretch and a med. student that though that he was tough driving down the wrong side of the street. Stopping, getting out of the car and then starring at us the whole time gesturing for us to go around him, ha ha. I just love some Indians. After we Pwalked and did a little sight seeing we got back into the car and started to the other city for some Pdriving. Getting down the hill top seemed like a trip in and of itself. After a little bit of driving and some picture taking a window got stuck. Trying to get it to come up manually we decided to shut off the car and let the mechanics rest for a while and then try it again. However can up with that idea, I think it was K, either has a lot of experience or is very smart with cars; I think that she has a lot of experience. Not even two seconds after this happened my seat belt locked up and I could not get it to buckle in. JP used his magical hands and with more of his experience he got it to unlock. While this was going on someone with an undisclosed name, for pride's sake, was taking a drink of her water and immediately started laughing either because of the seat belt or something that JP said, such a funny guy. A woman that is a nurse and I that has a lifeguard background sprung to the occasion ready to do the necessary things to get this person breathing again after drowning in a couple inches, if that, of water. Yet after and minute or two of coughing and gasping for air she came around and started breathing again. Mind you that we are on a hill top with the nearest body of water about a mile away.
So we get down this hill top safe and sound only by his grace.
We then get to the other town that we Pdrove in because it is in the middle of the day and it was most likely near 110 degrees outside. For all that I can remember driving area this city was safe and nothing new and exciting happened except for seeing a palace on water and the pink city. But the trip back home is a different story.
This is the part where I do not really remember a lot from because there was just too many things that happened all at once; we were doing battle and someone didn't like it, if you did not have this idea in your head yet. To give you the condensed version because I do not have a lot of time on this Saturday morning. Two black cars and too many trucks to count that cut us off, the glass of the passenger side mirror broken off by a truck that was creeping up while we were stopped. Needless to said on our way back we were constantly avoiding trucks and racing to get away from the black cars whom did not have any concept of lanes and boldly should NOT have their licence to drive in ANY country, let alone India which does seem to have any rules.
I'm sorry that this post did not have a lot of details but we have be so busy and having some fun and crazy times I have not had the chance to journal any of these nights. The goods news is that these times and memories will be with me forever because they are so crazy that I will have to go brain dead in order for me to forget what happened, ha ha.
